Marysvale, Utah - Donald James Jensen passed away January 4, 2019 in St. George, Utah. Jim was born September 4, 1951, to Donald and Joy Jensen. 

He spent much of his childhood in Clinton, Utah. He graduated from Clearfield High School and attended Rick's College where he was an all American Football Player. 

Jim spent his adult life serving others as a Salt Lake City Police Officer. 

Jim is survived by his wife, Cheryl and his seven children: JoBeth (Jared) Carson, Eric (Kim) Jensen, Heather (Frank) Nelson, Les (Donna) Jensen, Robert Jensen, Clinton L. Jensen and Wyatt Cade Jensen; preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Jensen; numerous grandchildren, with more on the way and 1 great-grandchild. 

Jim was the oldest of twelve and is survived by ten siblings. Preceded in death by beloved brother, Cliff. 

The world has lost a strong and truthful man. Words cannot express his true greatness or the depth of our grief in saying a mortal goodbye. 

The most ordinary day spent with Jim was better than most people's greatest day ever. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the services. 

Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
