Larry Leyba

CLEARFIELD — Larry G. Leyba, 63, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
 

He was born ¡n Price, Utah on August 10, 1950, a son of Jose D. and Fidelia Montano Leyba.
 

Larry enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, collecting guns and cooking.
 

He was raised in Clearfield, Utah, graduated from Clearfield High School and attended Weber State College. He worked in the gold mines and as a car salesman in Nevada, but his main profession was working as a pit boss and car dealer in many western states casinos.
 

He married Sandy Strand; they later divorced, but remained close friends. He then married JoAnn Dobbs.
 

He is survive d by his wife JoAnn; two sons, Jonny (Debbie) Dobbs and Tyler Leyba; two daughters, Leslie Lierman and Tobey (Jason) Cook; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Preston, Devon, Kiaya, Nathan, Sierra, Dariell, Madilynn and Remington. He is also survived by two brothers, Joe (Janet) Leyba and Danny (Sheron) Leyba: four sisters, Isabel (Bob) Ballard, Florence Morrison, Mary Velasquez, Jane Arambula, brother-in-law Prudencio Gonzales and numerous nieces and nephews.
 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, Louis, Santiago and Gilbert; one sister Laura; three brothers-in-law, Blame, Willie and Erasmo, and four nephews.
 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31st at 10 am at Aaron’s Mortuary in Clearfield, Utah, 55 S. State Street.
 

Friends may visit family from 9 am to 10 am at Aaron’s Mortuary prior to services. Interment,
 

Clearfield City Cemetery (same location).

Abe Martinez

Larry was a very good friend. Never short to task. Always cheerful and loyal.

Will miss being able to call and talk to him.

May God's grace be with him and all his family
