Bev was a great friend to me in Jr High and we continued to run into each other on occassion over the years. She called me in Aug of 1998 and asked me to come to her Dad's house in Clearfield. Nancy Child Imlay came as well. We had a really fun visit. She and Steve Pace, whom she had married when she was 15 or 16, were still happily married. They were planning a second honeymoon to some exotic locale. She called me in Dec of that year to tell me she had been diagnosed with cancer. She and Steve lived in West Jordan and I never made it down to see her, much to my regret. I thought she would beat the cancer but obviously she didn't. She was always so much fun and her family, who are all very tall, loved to tease me when I would visit since I am only 5'1" and they were all about a foot taller than me. When I saw her that Aug she was the same fun loving, sweet girl I knew from Sunset Jr High. I still miss her and wish I had not taken for granted she would be a survivor.
I hope her family is doing OK since I know Steve their girls and grandkids adored her. Her Mother had passed before her and her Dad died a few years after Bev. I saw where her older brother, Richard, recently lost a son. I believe he died of cancer as well.
Sorry it took me so long to express my love and friendship for my dear friend.
