Robert Devaun Tait, age 48, of Christiansburg, OH was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 24, 2000.

He was born September 7, 1951 in Sunset, Utah, the son of Devaun Tait and Zaila L. Harbison Tait. Bob married Kim Roundy in Elko, NV on May 16, 1975. He lived in Sunset most of his life until 1988 when his job took him and his family to Huber Heights, OH. He was a long time employee of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Marine Veteran of Vietnam and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the time of his death he was an Assistant Scout Master and Youth Advisor. Bob had a real talent for teaching the youth and they could relate to him.Surviving are his wife, Kim; sons, Shaun Robert and Ryan David; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Kaye and Daniel Oehlerts; grandson, Austin; parents, Devaun and Zaila; brother, Tom; sister, Evaun (Doll) Tait; father-in-law, Edwin Roundy and mother-in-law, Carol Roundy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kay and niece, Kristina.

Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday at Marker and Heller Funeral Home, 5844 Old Troy Pike, Huber Heights, OH, with Grant Armstrong officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Area Heart Association.

Bob's passing will leave a void in the lives of everyone he met. He will long be remembered for his loving kindness and pleasant smile. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him dearly and patiently wait for the time until we meet again.

Rest in peace Buddie you were a great friend.
Still miss you lots.
Bob was an Inspector General for the United States Air Force at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio at his time of death from a heart attack.At the time of his death he was so well thought of by the IG staff they named their main conference room after him.
