Rich was one of my best friends in high school. One of the quieter guys in the croud. He drove a 56 chev 2-tone brown and tan. I sure remember having good times with Rich and friends running around in that car. He died from cancer leaving behind a wife and daughter. I think of him often.

Rich & I went to WSC together - he, Hoot Gibson, Levy Snow and I would car pool - there is no question he was responsible for getting Hoot, Levy and I through Accounting 101. We would, on occasion (Friday nights and then some) stop for a libation and a game or two of pool. One particular night he complained of a severe head ache - with my vast medical training - I told him that it was probably due to his lack of consumption. He stated that it just made it worse. Shortly there after he was diagnosed with the brain tumor - so much for my medical expertise! He fought a tough fight, a couple of operations, but in the end, it was all for not. Rich was a kind, intelligent, giving person and our association will always be treasured. Perhaps he,Levy and Hoot are car pooling to wherever you go up there after class.
