Karin Zampedri Christensen, 71, of Battleground, WA passed away on July 23, 2023, after an extended battle with cancer. She was born Karin Dawn Stone to Donald E Stone and Norma Lee Padgett on September 6, 1951, in Ogden Utah. Her parents divorced when Karin was a toddler. Her mother married Fred Zampedri in 1955, he adopted Karin as his daughter. Karin grew up in Sunset, Utah, and attended Clearfield High School, graduating in 1969. She married Randy Christensen in October 1968, they were blessed with one child, a daughter born in 1970. Randy and Karin were later divorced. Karin moved to Beaverton, OR in the 1970s and spent the remainder of her life in the Portland and Vancouver, WA area. Karin is survived by her daughter, Heidi Pavliska of Amsterdam, Netherlands, grandson Maximillian Pavliska, and granddaughter Alexandra Pavliska of Stockholm, Sweden. She is also survived by her best friend and cousin, Sandee Hempleman of Marco Island, FL, who adopted Karins’s 4-legged daughter, Blondie. She is also survived by cousins Donald A Mosher (Margaret), Chris Orlob (Theresa) and many other cousins in the Utah area. She was preceded in death by her parents. Karin was cremated and requested that no services be held.
