SAN ANGELO - Alvin "Al" Estep Jr., 57, of Eldorado, Texas died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at his residence. Graveside service is at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in Schleicher County Cemetery chapel. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home.

Alvin William Estep Jr. was born in Tom Green Texas to Alvin William Estep Sr. and Marguerite Marie Hall Estep on September 5, 1951. He attended most of his schooling in Texas but graduated from Clearfield High School, Clearfield Utah, in 1969.

On August 24, 1979 Al married Vanda Jean Eddings in Tom Green Texas. Together they raised 4 children, Denisa, Victoria, Venus and Varonda as well as Roger Johnson from a previous marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Vanda Estep of Eldorado; son Roger Johnson of Denver City; daughters Venus Cruz, Varonda Daniels and Denisa Estep, all of Eldorado, and Victoria Segura of Sonora; brothers Kenneth Estep of Kerrville and Stephen Estep of Greenville; and sister Robin Waggoner of Atlanta.
