Christine Lightfoot Ponder passed away August 24, 1970.  She is buried at the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.

SYRACUSE- Miss Chrystine Lightfoot, 19 of 1464 Marilyn Drive, Syracuse, was drowned Monday at Pine View Reservoir.

Miss Lightfoot was born February 26, 1951 in Ogden, a daughter of Thomas E. and Janie Craven Lightfoot. 

She had lived in Sunset and Syracuse the past three years, and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1969.

A member of the Syracuse 3rd LDS Ward, she was formerly a Primary Teacher.

Surviving are her father of Alabama, formerly of Sunset; her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Ponder, Syracuse; one sister, Gayle Lightfoot, and one half-brother, Thomas A. Ponder, both of Syracuse.

Also surviving are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E Hawkins, Washington Terrace.

Funeral serviceswill be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in  Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop J. Duffy Palmer of Syracuse 3rd Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary in Ogden Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until services. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
